Oobit today announced an extension of its existing bank-transfer off-ramp powered by Unblock, adding support for USD payouts via SWIFT international wire.

The extension allows users to send crypto to any bank account globally, expanding Oobit's crypto-to-bank coverage from three regions served by local rails today to approximately 200 countries.

The new payout option builds on Oobit's existing bank-transfer feature, which is already in production. Unblock's infrastructure will power the specific SWIFT/USD payout, extending the existing off-ramp through infrastructure already proven in live operations rather than requiring Oobit to introduce a new core payment rail. Beyond reliability, the approach also reduces the execution risk of relying on external tie-ins.

Oobit's existing bank-transfer service routes crypto conversions through local payment networks, including ACH in the United States, SPEI in Mexico and PIX in Brazil.

With the extension, users can convert crypto to USD within the Oobit app and withdraw the funds to a nominated USD-capable bank account via international wire. SWIFT payouts typically settle within one to three business days, compared with the instant settlement available through local rails in supported markets. The trade-off is wider geographic coverage, extending the off-ramp to markets where Oobit does not yet support local-currency payouts.

“Local payment rails remain the fastest option where they are available, but coverage has to be built market by market,” said Amram Adar, CEO at Oobit. “Extending our existing off-ramp to USD wires gives users in far more countries a direct route from crypto into a bank account, using infrastructure that is already live and proven in production.”

The extension broadens Oobit's existing spend, onramp and off-ramp model into a full crypto value loop; users can spend crypto directly (card/payments), buy digital assets and convert holdings back into fiat within the same app, without first moving funds through a separate exchange.

The USD payout option is aimed at existing Oobit users looking to convert crypto into USD, particularly those in markets where local-currency off-ramps are not yet available but who hold or can receive funds through a USD-capable bank account.

The update comes as crypto-based cross-border payments continue to grow. Crypto-powered remittances are projected to reach $34.96 billion in 2026, up from $27.87 billion in 2025, with the market forecast to grow at approximately 25.2% annually through 2030. Stablecoins now account for more than 85% of digital cross-border transfers, while average crypto off-ramp fees have fallen from 2–3% in 2021 to roughly 0.5–1.2% in 2026.
