KYC-verified users can now tap their phones at supported NFC-enabled ATMs to withdraw cash from their Oobit balance, without a physical card or linked bank account.

Oobit, the Tether-backed crypto payments platform, has launched contactless crypto ATM cash withdrawals, allowing KYC-verified users globally to withdraw physical cash by tapping their phones at any supported NFC-enabled ATM, using the virtual Oobit card stored on the device.

Withdrawals are funded directly from the user's Oobit balance, with no physical card required. A biometric-protected PIN viewer in the Oobit app gives users secure access to the card PIN needed to complete the withdrawal.

The service launches across Oobit's supported markets, subject to compatible ATM availability and regional requirements. Users can withdraw up to $250 per transaction, with a maximum of three withdrawals per card per calendar day. No bank account is required to withdraw cash through the feature.

Extending Crypto Payments to Physical Cash

Oobit already enables users to spend supported digital assets at more than 150 million Visa-accepting merchants. The addition of ATM withdrawals extends that infrastructure from digital and in-store payments to physical cash access.

According to Oobit's internal data, transaction activity on the platform has increased 260% over the past six months.

The withdrawal feature completes the crypto-to-cash loop in the everyday use of stablecoins and other digital assets. While users can increasingly hold, transfer and spend crypto through existing payment networks, accessing physical cash has often required operating through the traditional banking system or exchange withdrawal.

ATMs remain the dominant cash infrastructure in Oobit's core markets, including Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia, where large populations hold crypto but have no bank-based route to physical cash. Stablecoin transaction volume has also reached global scale, but converting digital assets to spendable cash has remained a persistent gap for underbanked users.

"Stablecoins can move globally and be spent at the point of sale, but the moment someone needs physical cash, the process often sends them back through a bank or exchange," said Amram Adar, Co-Founder and CEO of Oobit. "Contactless ATM withdrawals close that gap. Oobit users can now spend digitally or withdraw cash using the same phone, without carrying a physical card or linking a bank account."

Oobit also issues virtual Visa cards for AI agents, available to businesses through a KYB-gated program and to individual consumers via waitlist. The first crypto payments platform enabling AI agents to transact autonomously using a funded USDT card, extending the company’s  infrastructure beyond human users into the emerging agent economy.
